The people who live in them

Meet Olive & Emiline

A growing cast of characters with personalities, histories, families, friendships, and plenty of opinions of their own.

Olive Joanne, a miniature doll with long dark hair, reading a tiny magazine in front of patterned wallpaper

Wanderer. Risk-taker. Dreamer. Doer.

Olive Joanne

Olive sees magic everywhere.

She has lived many lives – or at least, that’s what it feels like – and collected a little wisdom from each one. She loves adventure, animals, herbs, gardens, potions, dancing, beautiful things and interesting people. She doesn’t kill spiders. She doesn’t much believe in rules, either.

Olive is mysterious and sensual, wildly curious and completely open-hearted. She’ll welcome almost anyone into her life, which may explain how her traveling clan came to be.

She believes in following your heart, taking the chance, opening the door and seeing what happens.

There are no rules in Olive’s life.

And that’s exactly how she likes it.

Emiline Joanne, a miniature doll with long blonde hair, in a sunlit room with a little dollhouse behind her

Homemaker. Gardener. Caretaker. Keeper of things just so.

Emiline Joanne

Emiline is the grounded one.

She loves her husband dearly, adores making a beautiful home, and is happiest tending her greenhouse, decorating a room or taking care of the people she loves.

She’s smart, witty, wonderfully funny, kind but firm – and she runs a tight ship.

Emiline likes rituals and routines. She takes a bath every night. Things have their places. People are looked after. Life works better with a little structure.

She’s conventional but open-minded, responsible but never dull. She loves to dance too – it simply takes her a little longer than Olive to kick off her shoes.

Her greatest lesson may be learning that taking care of everyone else doesn’t mean she can’t occasionally take care of herself.

Together

Olive says
Why not?
Emiline says
Let me think about that.

Olive wanders. Emiline creates home. Olive throws open the doors. Emiline makes sure everyone inside is cared for.

Neither one is better. They need each other.
